About us
OceanNet has been a reference in the forwarding business for 33 years. The company was established in 1988 by the Van den Hil family. It is one of the first private forwarders in the Netherlands that succeeded in opening a route to the Caucasus.
In 2014 the company is still run by the second generation of Van den Hils, who still actively work for the company.
For over 33 years OceanNet has built a reputation in the industry, based on an exceptional level of service, as a family-owned company with a down-to-earth, Rotterdam mindset. At OceanNet you are a customer, not a number.
The head office is in Papendrecht, a large village situated just below the port of Rotterdam. OceanNet also has several branches in the Caucasus (Georgia & Azerbaijan). We are a 100% independent NVOCC operator that can ship containers worldwide.
The cornerstone of a forwarder's business is shipping goods from A to B. But OceanNet goes that extra mile. We think that everything starts with optimum service. And at OceanNet the level of service is permanently high.
Besides a global network and experienced partners OceanNet can also rely on professionals with a wealth of experience, skill and knowledge. OceanNet stands for forwarding+ !
OceanNet largely owes its success to its employees. They know what is expected from them. They spare no effort and are passionate about defending your interests. Each of these experienced and trained workers know that they can only be satisfied if you are too. People who are passionate about you, the customer, the profession and our company.
Short lines, flexibility, understanding the customer's wishes and the industries in which our customers operate. The spirit that prevails in our company is typical of a family-owned company. And we are proud of that. In our opinion this is the only guarantee that at OceanNet a customer really is a customer and never a number.
OceanNet has become the global specialist for flat racks and is the leading forwarder in the Caucasus (Georgia, Azerbaijan & Armenia).
In the new port that will be built in Anaklia, OceanNet already knows the right path. This Anaklia Deep Sea Port will be the center of the container transport between China and Europe and the center of the New Silk Road. Container ships of 10,000 teu are welcome here.
OceanNet: from here to everywhere!
